Our Rambles are more like "Ambles"

Our "Ambles"  (we wouldn't claim they're as long or arduous as Rambles) normally take place on the last Thursday of the month, usually April to October each year.

Led by our own Members who have devised and tested the walks, our Ambles are not full-day hikes or hardcore country route marches with stiles, fields full of bulls and muddy streams.  Ours are leisurely walks through towns, along seaside promenades and the occasional rural idyll, at a pace that is not going to challenge you.   And we try our best to finish at a suitable hostelry for a well-deserved drink and/or lunch (strictly optional!).

Some months we just have get-togethers in pubs etc. where our regulars (and former regular amblers who aren't so mobile nowadays) enjoy getting together for a chat and a bite to eat.

Details of all our branch events, appear in Sussex Branch quarterly newsletters, sent out to subscribing members.

Our Outings and Theatre Trips

We enjoy group outings to locations around London and the South East, enjoying discounted group rate admission prices and sometimes refreshments too.  We don't travel by coach; to keep the cost down we make our separate own ways to venues by public transport.

Details of forthcoming outings are publicised in our quarterly branch newsletters.  You can bring guests ALL of our outings, including friends and family if you wish.

Matinee Club

We love going to the theatre to see all sorts of shows.  Especially musicals!   We get great discounts on ticket prices by going as a group.   Most ticket offers are in London's West End, but sometimes we visit local theatres in Sussex, especially our favourite, Chichester Festival Theatre.

Our one rule?  It must be a MATINÉE PERFORMANCE!

If you're interested in going to the theatre with us, whether in London's West End or more locally in Sussex, just let us know.  We send out details of ticket offers by email free of charge, or you can elect to receive details by post by providing us with some stamps or SAEs.  You can bring as many guests as you like too - all are welcome.
