We hold a variety of social events during the year across the Wessex patch and beyond.

TUESDAY 9th DECEMBER 2025: THE BRANKSOME RAILWAY HOTEL
429, POOLE ROAD, BRANKSOME BH12 1DQ. (Opposite Branksome Railway Station). Coffee Morning with mince pies. £2.00. Seasonal raffle. Doors Open at 12 NOON. Please note that hot food is NOT sold at the venue.
TUESDAY 6th JANUARY 2026: THE ROYAL OAK
J.D. WETHERSPOON, 21-22 HIGH STREET, DORCHESTER, DT1 1UW.
Coffee morning/social gathering: meet from 11.00hrs. Choice of Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate - £1.81 (Correct at time of publishing)
Free Refills. Hot food is sold all day. How to get there – train to Dorchester South and Damory No. 6 bus departing (destination Poundbury) every 30 minutes outside station XX.00 and XX.30 to top of High Street. There are some out of town buses departing too – see the indicator board at bus stop for details. If any of you are coming from Dorchester West station, then it is a one mile walk.

In addition, Wessex Branch members are also welcome at the informal
‘Get-togethers’ which have been arranged at Wetherspoon pubs in Kent from 12.00hrs onwards. These are not organised events. You are welcome to just turn up and join the group for a chat and a drink in a friendly atmosphere, and lunch too if you want, all at own expense.
